There are various forms of Central Heating gas boiler

There are a number of sorts of Central Heating Systems on the market nowadays. Most of them consist of a set of heating central heating radiators, a boiler and copper pipework.

People in the UK, Europe and some parts of Russia, hardly need an air conditioner because of the low average temperature. That is why in the United Kingdom most houses built these days are constructed with Gas Central Heating Systems fully integrated into the home.

As autumn fades and chilly winds begin to blow, householders turn to their Central Heating for warmth and comfort. A well heated house can help create a comfortable space for you to enjoy with your family. For this, you need a reliable heating boiler in your Central Heating system. It should be durable, easy to use and completely safe.

Gas Central Heating system can be divided into two broad categories, pumped/vented systems and sealed systems.

Pumped/vented systems are the most frequent. A pumped/vented Central Heating System includes components known as a feed and expansion tank to allow for the expansion of water as it is heated in the radiators. The hot water tank performs two functions; firstly, supply hot water to your house, and secondly, provides heat to the heating radiators. The tank makes way for any water expansion that is caused by the heating process. The tank is placed in the highest place, normally the attic area. The tank provides a dual supply of hot water and warmth for the house.

For many years now, pumped/vented systems have been the norm for Central Heating.

A Sealed Central Heating System is a relatively modern technology, and is being adopted by many homeowners today. No water tanks are needed for a Sealed system as it is a completely closed setup saving space. This unvented system eliminates water tanks and attic plumbing, thus giving a number of advantages.

- No risk of freezing pipes in the attic.

- No maintenance work on the tank or pipes that would be in the attic in a pumped/vented system.

- The chance of a leaking water tank is all together missing.

- Reduced risk of air locks, corrosion and sludge as there isn’t a chance of air being drawn down into the system through open vents as the system is sealed.

- It is possible to flush out the system if required by using the mains water supply.

All the required controls and safety devices are incorporated into the sealed Gas Central Heating systems. A sealed Gas Central Heating System uses water that comes directly from the main water supply. It feeds directly from the main water supply.

Pressure variation can be regulated by a pressure vessel holding compressed gas; the hot water is pressurized by a diaphragm which also separates the water from the compressed gas. The safety valve opens up when the pressure in the system rises so that water can escape through it, on the other hand it opens up when the pressure drops down so that the water can refill the system.

As compared to other heating systems, Gas Central Heating systems are cheaper to run. They also provide you with complete control which is much more than other heating systems can say about themselves.
